It is my pleasure to announce that Daniel Lipinski has Joined our organization on February 7, 2014 in the position of Honorary Board Member.
Daniel Lipinski: Born to immigrant parents, a father from Germany and a mother from Indonesia, Daniel lived the first ten years of his life on a sailboat in False Creek, resulting in a strong affinity for the water.
Daniel is an alumnus of Langara College, Simon Fraser University, and BCIT. He is an avid reader of all subjects, deeply curious and always willing to learn from others.
In 2011 Daniel founded Wolfterra Exploration Ltd. which provides sampling services for mining, mineral, and metal studies. Since joining The Association for Mineral Exploration of British Columbia’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, Daniel has been encouraging communication between community and industry, as well as embracing changes in mining to promote positive advances in the areas of social, cultural, and environmental impacts.
Daniel helps host and organize a monthly Vancouver mining industry social with the purpose of bringing together industry people, educators, students, civil servants and others who are interested in meeting in an open, friendly and inclusive environment.
Daniel is an advocate for sport as a way to build bridges and provide opportunity. At age 8 he took up Judo, achieving a black belt by age 16 and receiving The Premier’s Award in 2001 for Best Male Athlete in the Sport of Judo. Sport provided the opportunity to travel and meet people from other communities across Canada and the United States. Since retiring from Judo competition Daniel continues to enjoy sport by racing sailboats for recreation in English Bay.
Daniel is always willing to help someone who is helping others by offering knowledge or by rolling up his sleeves and getting the job done.
We are delighted and proud to have Daniel Lipinski with he’s expertise and dedication join the board of SAGE Foundation.
